Chrome extension
AI Search Revealer
See AI's hidden searches
ChatGPT says it searched the web. It never says what for. This extension shows you the exact queries ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini run, and the sources they actually cited.
What it shows you
The real queries
Every search the model runs, captured live as it's issued. Read from the network response, not the model's memory of what it did.
Cited vs retrieved
Sources split into ★ Cited and Retrieved, with snippets where the platform provides them.
Filter and export
Filter by platform, intent or text. Export to CSV or Markdown.
Verify in one click
Open any query in Google or Google Trends, or copy it to your clipboard.
Survives a refresh
Captures are saved per conversation, locally in your browser.
Stays out of the way
Overlay panel that minimises to a bubble. Toggle it off from the toolbar.
Works on
- ChatGPTchatgpt.com
- Claudeclaude.ai
- Geminigemini.google.com
Private by design
Runs entirely in your browser. No account, no server, no analytics. It never reads your prompts or the answers, only search queries and source URLs. The one automatic outbound request sends a source's hostname to Google's favicon service to show its icon.

Questions
Why not just use Chrome DevTools?
DevTools shows the same data as raw, unlabelled JSON mixed in with hundreds of unrelated requests. AI Search Revealer organises it per platform and per query, with sources already split into cited and retrieved.
Why not ask the model what it searched for?
The model answers from memory and can paraphrase or misremember its own actions. The extension reads the actual network response, so you see what really happened.
Does it see my prompts or answers?
No. It only extracts search queries and source URLs from the assistant's own network responses. Everything runs locally: no account, no server, no analytics.
Is it free?
Yes. The source is public on GitHub.
